Weenect, the French leader in the GPS tracker market for dogs and cats, and JULIUS-K9, one of Europe’s main manufacturers of dog harnesses, celebrate their respective universes and launch a collaboration: the Weenect XT. An ultra-resistant GPS collar for dogs, available in 6 trendy colors, featuring high-performance antenna technology, extra-long battery life, and a powerful LED light.
Specially designed for particularly adventurous dogs, the Weenect XT proves to be a reliable partner thanks to its XL antenna, which offers 99% territorial coverage, even in environments that are challenging for GPS trackers, such as forests and mountains. With its long battery life (up to three weeks), it is now possible to go on multi-week hikes without worrying about recharging the tracker.
The Weenect XT is equipped with a Thales GPS module, giving it access to all current satellite systems (GPS, Galileo, Beidou and Glonass). Tracking accuracy is military-grade. And since every second counts when searching for an animal, Weenect is the only GPS manufacturer to provide a new GPS position every second, with no distance limit.
Another key feature of the new tracker is its integrated LED flashlight, which is twice as powerful as that of conventional trackers, allowing you to visually locate the dog in the dark, even from very far away.
The Weenect XT tracker comes with a collar specially developed by JULIUS-K9. A unique collar on the market, capable of withstanding pulling forces of up to 235 kg. Weighing just 54.2 grams, the tracker is suitable for all dogs, regardless of their size or weight. Another key advantage: the collar fits neck sizes from 37.5 to 56.5 cm — a standard measurement for most dog breeds, from Jack Russell to Husky!
The GPS tracker is easy to use thanks to the Weenect app, available for iOS and Android. Features such as recall training, using sound and vibration signals emitted by the device, or activity tracking are particularly useful for active dogs who love to explore.
To help curb the overproduction of plastic and electronic devices and to reduce waste generation, Weenect offers a lifetime warranty on its Weenect XT. The company is confident in the high quality of its product and aims to counter the trend of constantly buying new items. The lifetime warranty covers both manufacturing defects and natural wear and tear. Customers send in the device, which is then repaired or replaced if the damage is irreparable. Loss or misuse by the customer is not covered.
The Weenect XT packaging is made entirely from recycled and recyclable cardboard, produced in France in order to reduce the company’s carbon footprint.

Specialized in trackers for dogs and cats, Weenect was founded in January 2012 by Adrien Harmel, Bénédicte de Villemeur-Vieille and Ferdinand Rousseau. Three partners, three friends, three complementary personalities working together as a true trio dedicated to Pet Technology and animal well-being. Tested and approved by veterinarians, recommended by more than 2,500 pet stores in Europe, Weenect’s features and qualities (ultra-precise international real-time GPS tracking with unlimited range, activity monitoring, recall function, integrated flashlight, waterproof up to 1 meter, WiFi autonomy…) make it a high-quality technological product that is simple, effective and reliable. More than 250,000 pet owners already trust Weenect tracking systems.
For more than a quarter of a century, Julius-K9 dog harnesses and collars have been the first on the European market to be designed with durability, comfort and practicality in mind. A dog harness that can accompany your dog throughout its entire life is the ideal solution to the overconsumption of our time. There is no more ecological solution than equipment that works reliably in the long term. The company’s founder, Julius Sebö, the most prolific dog harness inventor of all time, has been able to design first-class products not only for urban dogs and service dogs. Much to the delight of adventurous owners and their dogs, he created the Longwalk harness, which won the RED Dot, the German Design and the German Innovation awards, as well as the “Most Innovative Joint-Friendly Dog Harness 2021” prize awarded by the British magazine LUX. Over decades, the Julius-K9 development team has learned the importance of scientific research, experience and unwavering commitment in designing a quality product. Developing a product in collaboration with Weenect was preceded by the search for common ground based on our shared mindset. The resulting Weenect JK9 collar is certainly only the first milestone in the collaboration between the two brands.
