XT product is great - buy it!
Every morning I walk my 2 dogs off lead for an hour, in woods local to my house. They do run off after deer sometimes - they can end up 5-600m away from me, so it is very helpful to know where they are when this happens. My phone has mostly good EE network coverage in the woods. I have tried several brands and models of dog tracker including the Weenect XS. Most struggle to maintain communication with the server - updates on my phone were intermittent at best. The Weenect XT has broken through that ceiling. There are still a couple of 'not spots' in the woods, but connectivity is manifestly A LOT better than with other trackers. I believe it is based on newer technology, and probably has a slightly larger aerial, than smaller trackers. I have been using the XT for a few months now. I don't bother with 'superlive' - I just set the update rate to 10seconds. The rubberised pouch holding the tracker onto the dog's collar works surprisingly well. Battery life is about 10 days - as long as you turn off the tracker for the rest of the day!! I think this is because it has a habit of losing connection to the server when the tracker is inside the house. When it loses contact it flashes a green light until connection is re-established - the flashing sometimes goes on for an hour or more, and drains the battery. I also like that I can log in to the server on my laptop - the screen layout is more comfortable to use than my mobile, if I want to see tracker history etc. I have used Weenect support a couple of times too. Email support is largely fine, but returns are tricky. The company is based in France (I'm in UK) so the customs requirements mean it can take 1-2 weeks to get a replacement if/when needed. Nevertheless, overall it is a very good product and I am comfortable in recommending it.
